Experienced Howard County Landscaping Company
Patapsco Spring is a locally owned and operated landscaping company with a focus on quality and customer service.
Owner and agriculture lover Robert Condon opened Patapsco Spring in 2012 after gaining ten years of experience with multiple national level companies. In previous positions, Robert realized other organization members did not hold themselves to the higher standard he thought customers deserved. He decided to change that, opening Patapsco Spring with the customer’s experience in mind.
Patapsco Spring sets itself apart from other landscape companies by the connections being built with customers, what they deem an integral part of their business. Patapsco Spring and its management team pride themselves on the personal relationship they continue to develop with each of their customers, past, present, and future.
Management Team
Patapsco Spring landscape management understands the importance of a healthy organizational culture with continued training for employees. Patapsco Spring values and stays focused on high-quality customer service not provided from the national companies, where the customer is just the name on the account.
Robert Condon
Owner
Robert is a Maryland native who grew up as a self-proclaimed “farm boy.” His childhood was spent learning about crops and livestock (when he wasn’t playing on tractors) before attending the University of Maryland. In 2003, Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics.
Bryan Orwig
Vice President
Bryan is another Maryland native who grew up in Howard County. He served in the Marines, and has been enjoying the field of Landscaping for 15 years since his return to civilian life. He is a Landscape Industry Certified Technician who has been with the company for 9 years.
Justin Hipp
Account Manager
JT grew up in the Howard County area learning a love for landscaping at a very young age after his father taught him how to operate a mower. He put that new found love to use in high school mowing several yards around the neighborhood to save up for his first car. He then went on to study at the University of Maryland, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. He has been working in commercial landscape management since graduating.
Mike DeGiorgio
Account Manager
Mike grew up in Frederick County, Md. and served for 15 years in the Army. He studied Business at Louisiana State University and Urban Forestry at University of Maryland. He is a certified arborist, tree climber and professional horticulturist. He has worked in the tree service and landscape management fields for 12 years.
Community Involvement
“After losing one of our beloved preschoolers to cancer coupled with the need for our growing preschool to have a proper playground area, we were inspired with a desire to create a memorial playground in the memory of our former student. The area available for the memorial playground was sloped and covered in asphalt, which posed a difficult engineering problem and was quite costly to fix. After many fundraising efforts the school only had enough funds to purchase the playground equipment, so the difficult site challenges put the project completely out of reach financially for the school.
Having learned that Patapsco Spring Landscaping was not given the opportunity to support a similar, but larger memorial playground project at a county park, we reached out to them to see if they would be willing to provide pro-bono support to our school memorial project instead. Within days, Robert Condon, owner of Patapsco Spring Landscaping met our staff on-site and proposed a plan for removing the asphalt, leveling the area, re-routing fencing and laying a safe mulched foundation in which the new playground equipment could sit.
He was not only on board, but enthusiastically supportive of such a empathetic cause and was a pleasure to work with. Robert’s team quickly executed their plan to fix the space as proposed. Robert was honest, prompt with his teams execution and provided expert solutions to our difficult site challenges. He and family also took the time to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and memorial playground dedication, which was incredibly touching to all the families involved. In addition to providing the critical piece in allowing our memorial playground to come to fruition, Patapsco Spring continues to assist us annually in maintaining this play area as well.
Again, our maintenance requests are always met with promptness, professionalism and thoughtfulness to avoid any playground downtime for our students and church families. We are thoroughly pleased with Roberts team and the wonderful space they have provided to our students and church families. We can not recommend them enough!”
